Western Australia has introduced new border controls aimed at protecting its cattle herd from bovine Johne’s disease (BJD).

The border rules will coincide with on-ground surveillance and eradication of the disease if found, and has been developed following industry feedback and an economic evaluation report on the impact of having no regulation.
