South Sulawesi, Indonesia (KompasTV) – Five cattle owned by local residents found dead suddenly have been positively identified as affected by the anthrax virus. Presently the local Livestock and Animal Health Service is still waiting on lab test results from the Veterinary Center at Maros in South Sulawesi.  The Service has called on residents to remain calm over the finding as so far results of beef inspections at traditional markets and abattoirs have found no positive results for anthrax.
